Paris Photo Diary

Paris, the capital city of France, the City of Lights.

I read somewhere that going up the Eiffel Tower is the ideal Paris baptism and I couldn't agree more. The view from the top is so spectacular that waiting in line was worth it.
(If you're planning to go up the tower or to other museums, I suggest getting a Paris Pass for "skip-the-line" privileges.)
From the outstanding city planning to the French architecture, this city has so much to offer. I literally had to choose from 1000+ photos.

View beneath the Eiffel Tower.

Notre Dame Cathedral

The Luxor Obelisk at the the center of the Place de la Concorde was originally located at the entrance to Luxor Temple, Egypt and was gifted to France by Muhammed Ali, Khedive.

Arc De Triomphe, one of the famous monuments in the city. It is located at the end of Champs-Elysees which is famous for theatres, cafes and luxury shops.

Galeris Lafayette, an upmarket French department store.

So happy I got to see the love lock bridge before they took it down.

And finally the Louvre, my favorite! One of the largest museums and historic monuments in Paris. The louvre was originally a royal palace but now it houses more than 7,500 artworks. The Louvre pyramid was later added and functions as an entry way to the museum. Designed by my sister's favorite architect I.M. Pei. No wonder.

The Mona Lisa, it's smaller than you think. Haha!

My sister would have cried. LOL

Paris is so big, 5 days wasn't enough. I'm not complaining though. I'm happy I got to check this off my bucket list.

Much love,
C

The Floating City

Venice, the Floating City, is one of the most romantic places I've ever been to. This city - made up of tiny islands (118 to be exact) has preserved its beauty as it was almost six hundred years ago. It has so much character, it feels surreal. No wonder it's listed as a World Heritage Site along with its lagoon.

St. Mark's Basilica

St. Mark's Square

St. Mark's Campanile

Doge's Palace

Bridge of Sighs

The architecture in this place is jaw dropping! Everywhere you turn is a kodak moment.

Of course, the gondola ride is a must!

Frida Kahlo entry way to a salon. So cute!

One of the things that stood out for me are the artworks. From paintings, to masks, I wanted to take them all home!

The Grand Canal

Rialto Bridge

Grazi, Italy! You're unbelievably stunning! I'll definitely come back.

Next stop, France.
